Dear Fellow Traveler:

In July of 2010, we will travel to the majestic country of China! This is a nine day trip, packed with great adventures, such as visiting the Great Wall of China, the Terra Cotta Warriors, a school, and even a hospital to learn acupuncture! Read all of the information below to find out about this trip and please feel free to contact me at lschaefer@wsfcs.k12.nc.us if you have more questions. CHINA 2010 TRIP INFORMATION

TRIP DATES: The target leave date for the China trip is July 7, 2009. The actual leave date could be two to three days before or after that date. We will know the actual date 99 days before departure.
TRIP PRICE:

The student (ages 14-21) price: $2, 998

The adult (ages 22+) price: $3, 333

CHAPERONES: The ratio of adult chaperones to students is one for every six students. I also travel with my sister, Julie, who is a Registered Nurse and will be one of the chaperones.
INSURANCE: EF offers amazing all-inclusive insurance that will cover medical, baggage, and cancellation insurance. The cost is $115, and I HIGHLY recommend that you purchase it.
MEETINGS AND RULES: We will hold meetings in the spring of 2010 as we lead up to the trip that participants will be required to attend. There will also be rules for the the trip so that we can keep everyone safe! 
ITINERARY: To see the full itinerary for this trip, download the PDF to the left. There are multiple optional excursions on this trip, which means that we would have to pay extra for them. We will discuss which ones that we want to do and do some fundraising for them.
COLLEGE CREDIT: Students can earn up to five hours of college credit for traveling with this tour. Each credit hour is $120 and is earned through Eastern Washington University. Students can choose how many hours they want to complete. See the information on the left-hand side of this page for details.

HOW TO SIGN UP FOR THE TOUR:

There are two ways to sign up for this tour:

1. Go online to EF's website (http://www.eftours.com) and click on the "For Students/Parents" tab. Once there, you can click to enroll in the tour by entering the tour number, which is 695095. The website will walk you through the rest. When you sign up, you have to pay the initial $95, though you can opt to pay more.

 

2. You can download the paper application (to the left) or pick up a packet from Ms. Schaefer and send the packet in through the mail. You have to put the tour number, which is 695095, on the application when you send it in.
